Cafe Grand Opening!
We are excited to announce that as of Tuesday February 14, 2017, Damfino's Cafe & Market is officially open for business! The project was inspired by Quincy's lack of healthy food options and the growing abundance of locally grown food in the surrounding area. Farmer Katie's parents, Fred and Lucy Harris had dreamed of opening such a shop for years, but the timing wasn't quite right until a year ago. Before they got very far they met Max Gross and Cassandra Rayne, two enthusiastic food entrepreneurs who both graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Lets just say, the stars aligned. The four quickly became partners and got to work. After much building renovation (during which they uncovered an incredible 115 year of mural signed "Damfino & Co.") they quietly opened to test the waters. It turns out Quincy was hungry for something different! After tweaking their menu offerings and stocking the grocery shelves with local fare, they are finally officially open for business.
Damfino's is very near and dear to us. We feel it is an extension of the farm with a similar mission. Feed people and feed them well. We hope you'll stop by Damfino's for a meal, a coffee, some wine, or even just to say hi. We're proud to be associated with this wonderful establishment!
